Talk of the Town attended the Elizabeth Ford Living History video project premier on November 15th, 2016. The Fort Mill History Museum’s premiere event was held at the Spratt Building. Elizabeth Ford who has been a long time Fort Mill history advocate was honored with her dedication to documenting Fort Mill history. Over nine years ago, Elizabeth Ford began interviewing several native Fort Mill residents to share their Fort Mill stories with. On the Premier night, LeAnne Burnett introduced the Living History video series which features interviews with sixteen Fort Mill native sons and daughters. In several videos, they shared with us their treasured memories, personal photographs, and vintage film footage of the days when cotton fields surrounded a mill town and bobby-socked teenagers spent weekday afternoons in soda shops and lazy Saturdays at the Center Theater.
