Fall is in the air. The leaves will begin to fall. Temperatures are cooling down. Why not take the family out almost any weekend in October and attend a local fall festival.
Below is a list of some of the festivals planned in our Lake Wylie Area.
10/6-10/28 – Fall festival and Corn Maze at the Anne Springs Close Greenway in Fort Mill. The festival features horse rides, wagon rides, corn maze, pumpkin patch and more. The festival is Friday evens till 10pm on Oct 12, 19, 26, every Saturday in October from 10 am to 10pm and every Sunday in October from 1pm to 6pm.
10/20 5-10pm – Old Town Oktoberfest in Rock Hill. East Main Street 5-10PM, German Food, Pastries & Tented Beer Garden, Wiener Dog Race, Children’s Area with Inflatables and Face Painting, Featuring Live Music.
10/27 Saturday 10am-6pm – Tega Cay’s Annual Fall Festival with games, craft vendors, food, and family fun. Held at the Tega Cay Glennon Center The Fall Festival offers something for everyone with a day full of activities, exhibitions and children’s play area.
10/31 5pm – 7pm The Town of Fort Mill will continue the tradition of the Fort Mill Fall Festival on Wednesday, October 31 st 2012. This year’s event is sponsored by Founders Federal Credit Union and the Town of Fort Mill. Representatives from York County businesses and organizations will have tables lined up down Main Street to give out treats to the children from 5:00-7:00 pm on October 31 st. Main Street will be closed to traffic and we will welcome over 1,500 of Fort Mill’s children to trick-or-treat along with live music and costume contests! At 6:30 p.m. the costume contests will be held in the front of the bandstand for the following age groups: *2-5 years, *6-9 years & *10-12 years.
11/3 Noon to 6pm – Baxter Village 12th Annual Fall Festival and Market Day in Baxter Village Town Center. Come see 160 booths, moon bounces, slidedes, giveaways, hay reides, music and more.
