The City of Tega Cay announced Charlotte, N.C.-based Senior Living Communities will construct a $30 million premier retirement community, named Wellmore, in the Stonecrest Development located on SC Highway 160 near Wal-Mart. The community is expected to create nearly 130 local jobs in health care and management, with sitework and landscape design

PDQ or now Tenders, opened last September 2010 with a fresh food concept and menu consisting of hand-breaded chicken tenders, chicken and turkey sandwiches (prepared grilled or crispy)

The Tega Cay City Council has approved Dennis Pieper as Tega Cay’s new City Manager. Mr Pieper was one of three possible candidates being considered by the city council. He was a town administrator for Summerville SC. He has 18 years of management experience in county and municipal government.
