A New Fort Mill Hospital?

A Message from Presbyterian Healthcare
Six years ago, the State of South Carolina recognized the need for a second hospital in York County. At that time, the State estimated that more than 215,000 residents would be living in this community by 2009. As we approach the end of 2010, the population has exceeded 227,000, and York County still only has one hospital to meet the needs of its residents.
The process to bring a new hospital to this community has been complicated, confusing and costly to those who so desperately need it and have waited patiently for it. But in their waiting, the residents of York County have made one thing clear—choice and competition are very important to them. (more…)
