Pendleton Village Shopping Center across form Baxter Village is seeing new life besides Lowes Home Improvement. Baxter Bunch Playhouse opened its doors on Monday 11/14/2011.

The Playhouse  leased 9,129 sq ft of retail space at the Pendleton Village Shopping Center, 1504 Carolina Place Dr,  next to Lowes Home Improvement on Hwy 160 and I 77 in Fort Mill SC. Their slogan is “Where Fun and Good Health Collide!” and offers programs like:

• Art Lessons
• Birthday Parties
• School field trips
• Healthy Living tips
• Adult/Teen fitness
• Childhood obesity initiative

They are open M-Thursday 10 to 7:30 Weekdays , 9 to 8 on Fridays and Saturdays, and Noon to 6 on Sundays.

It’s time for local home sales comparison reports. September home sales in Baxter Village were not bad when you look at homes sold compared to listing or asking price. Days on the market increased significantly and the homes sales transactions are down but a little better than the 30 plus percent down for the Charlotte metro market.

Here is a story about my son’s Cub Scout Den recycling project. I am faced with a dilemma. The project is at a Keller William’s office. So do I post this article being a local competing real estate office? Here’s the scoop. Alice and Kelly pictured below are new agents with Keller Williams. Alice Szatkowski and Kelly Cahill, Realtors®, with Keller Williams helped their sons Cub Scout Den 7 (Pack 250) set up their community service recycling project at Keller Williams in Baxter Village. They contacted Leslie G. Hatchell with York County who came and talked to the Den about the importance of recycling and showed them different things made from recycled material. Ms. Hatchell also provided the necessary receptacles. Each week a cub scout from Den 7 will empty the receptacles and bring the contents to the Baxter Recycling Center.
