AS OF 8:45PM, 9/4/12, YORK COUNTY WATER/SEWER HAS AN EMERGENCY DISRUPTION OF SERVICE IN THE SPRINGFIELD AREA. EMERGENCY CREWS ARE ATTEMPTING TO MAKE REPAIRS AT THIS TIME. SERVICE WILL BE RESTORED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. UNFORTUNATELY, WE DO NOT HAVE AN ESTIMATED TIME.
The water main break affected 5 Fort Mill Schools. As of 6 am on September 5, the School District has cancelled all Fort Mill Schools in the district for Wed Sept 5th 2012. October 26th has already been scheduled as the make up day.

CANCELLATION of School for Wednesday, September 5th
Unfortunately the busted water main was unable to be repaired in time for us to operate schools safely. Therefore, school is canceled for Wednesday, September 5th. Following District Policy, we will be using the first available make-up day as noted on the District Academic Calendar which is Friday, October 26th. We will notify all families in the event of future delays or school cancellations due to this situation, so if you receive no messages Wednesday evening, please plan to have your students at school for normal operating hours on Thursday, September 6th.
