Fort Mill Lacrosse Club Adds a Girls Team
Can girls play Lacrosse better than boys? The girls Fort Mill Yellow Jackets Lacrosse team motto is “Anything boys can do…girls can do better!”.
In the second year of the Fort Mill Lacrosse Club, A girl’s team has been added for 2008. Approximately 29 girls grades 6 through 12 have joined the club for the spring 2008 season. Volunteer moms Amy Katz, Minka Taylor, and Tracy Timony are coaching the lady Yellow Jackets Lacrosse team.
The season has had a successful start. On Saturday February 8th the team took part in an all day jamboree playing other South Carolina teams at Woodmont high school near Greenville SC. Last Saturday the lady Yellow Jackets took part in a clinic at Blythewood high school. Below is the team’s celebration huddle after the clinic and high scoring game.
