Hello friends! As we kick off 2016, I thought we could use a little fun on a weekly basis, and decided to bring you a “reality blog”…at least that’s what I’m calling it.
It’s occurred to me that there’s so much people don’t know about Real Estate and all the magic we, as Realtors and support staff create. The multi-tasking is at an intense level! I want to bring you a weekly blog that shows the funny with the serious and shows you what it is we do. Every now and again we may blog about a client’s Before and After home renovation on a home we closed on, or a testimonial that takes you through a building process. All of this is designed to educate you and provide you with new tidbits!
Last Wednesday, I had the honor of hosting an Open House with Felicia at LiveWell Homes’ community of Merritt Meadows (located off 160 in Fort Mill). It was a little last minute as we were trying to take advantage of the lottery drawing that night (wow, right?!) and give away 100 lottery tickets to some lucky people! I thought…now is the time to let the world see everything an agent can accomplish in one day!
The day started like most…up and at ’em, feed, clothe and shower my child with hugs and kisses on my way out to work.
As a Buyer Specialist, one of my jobs is to build relationships with builders, understand their process and bring that information to interested buyers. Spending time with the Selling Agents in the office at subdivisions gives me the opportunity to know them, know their product and what incentives they’re offering
to buyers. This time also allows that agent to know me, and what I can bring to the table when representing a buyer. It’s a win/win for everyone! On this day, I spent a couple hours with Felicia and other top agents in the area, which is always fun!
Being a Realtor® means you always need to look fresh
and put together (ok…we try!) which means this mom had to find a few hours for a hair appointment with Keri at Living Art Salon in Fort Mill. If you haven’t checked them out, they’re a great salon of talent and they use wonderful products!
Hair fresh and stylin’, I headed home for some dinner with the family and cuddles with my boy. He quite enjoys some of the perks that come from having a Realtor® mom. It’s not always easy being gone at odd hours and not always knowing if you’ll be home for supper, but we find quiet time together and make it count. Nothing is more important than family!
When one has freshly colored and styled hair, you hate to waste it! I was so glad to get a text from my dear friend Missy Topham inviting me to a charity event at the Grapevine in Baxter Village. Missy runs with FIA (Females In Action) which is a free, peer led workout group. They were there supporting members of their
group who were guest bartenders with the goal of raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, which will be presented at the Palmetto 70 race in Charleston, SC. I met some wonderfully amazing women that night who have loving hearts and spirits. What a great cause and event!
Missy is also responsible for our new team photos and headshots! She does beautiful work as a photographer and I’m lucky to have a friend in her.
As you can see, it was a busy day! What you can’t see were the phone calls, emails, copies printed, marketing work, and so much more that took place that day. You also can’t see the daily emotion that comes into play in this field. We genuinely love and work hard for our clients! I hope you’ve enjoyed this first blog and look forward to more…stay tuned!
